Hello Wild Heart,

Welcome to Return Within, Module 2, based off of Part 2 of The Blueprint Within Podcast, Empathy Is Everything.

First, I want to send a happy 100th birthday to my grandma Ruthie, who pretty freshly resides back in the magic of the ether. She wanted so badly to make it to 100 - and she passed this January, just 5 months prior. But, she made it in my eyes - and we will celebrate her as such this weekend. Wishing her all the snort-inducing laughs there are β€œon earth as it is in heaven.”

This week, we embrace the art of feeling.

And, the wildest part of all - is that just means allowing our bodies to let flow what wants to flow. There is no additional learning required - just an allowing. A practice of noticing, knowing and honoring emotions and being with them. Letting them have the mic. Honoring them and letting them move.

So many of us were taught to be strong. To be quiet and hold it all together, so as not to disrupt others’ unregulated nervous systems. We were taught not to cry, be sad or make others uncomfortable by the way we truly feel. To keep going. But that doesn’t allow freedom to the emotions and energies which seek to be seen. Freedom does not come from bypassing what hurts; it keeps what hurts in a box, stifled, for another day.

This module is an invitation to feel what has been asking for your attention, without having to associate your identity with it - but rather, to hold it. To love it. The grief, anger, tightness, tenderness, sadness, heartbreak. All of it belongs. All of it deserves to be seen - and flow, just like the water, with love.

I made this shell mandala from seashells Grandma Ruthie collected in her life. It’s one of my favorite pieces. It’s more gorgeous IRL than this pic shows.
