VIRIDESCENT: A Joy-filled Community Supporting Your Inner Change-Maker

Regenerating our ability to address hard things can also include joy, play and conscious community - all while rooting deeper in our relationship to nature.

I met Chance Thompson in January and we were instantaneous kin.

Following that zoom meeting, I asked him to be a guest on my podcast, The Blueprint Within - following that, I joined him and 7 other heart-led change-makers for an in-person regenerative leadership retreat in Whitefish, Montana (my heart!) as a birthday gift to myself.

From there, not only did we co-create a community of 8 soul-seekers at a beautiful level of authenticity and intimacy, a part of the process is that we were recognized as our own band of heroes, a part of the ongoing story, the HOPE ACTIVATORS.

The #VIRIVERSE is an experiential, storytelling journey through a world which is just far enough away from this one that it disarms our sense of self/place, in precise and necessary ways which shift us out of natural egoic tendencies (whether conscious or subconscious). At its core, VIRIDESCENT is an alter-business intent on joy, fun, introspection, community, nature and play as resilience-building.

The VIRIVERSE is a comic book - a storytelling journey where the magic happens, guiding travelers through landscapes, experiences and thought-provoking questions which also create the frameworks for a social network, to continue in community connection, post-journey.

The journey takes you far away - yet mirrors many of our earthly challenges - keenly returning us to the play, joy and essence of who we truly are, able to view our earthly challenges in new light. It looks at the hard parts and frames the notion that every shadow has a silver~lining - but it requires us to look at these shadows, be with them, even love them - to find it.

This journey traverses through profound aspects of personal introspection, and an authentic activation of inner hope by way of meaningful community connection and intentional reconnection to nature.

The #VIRIVERSE offers intentional ongoing workshops and live nature retreats, too; reconnecting you to your inner change-maker - and to the sacred beauty of mother earth and the land. I am so, so, so stoked to be co-facilitating an October Nature retreat in the backwoods of Montana.

A change-maker lives within every single one of us, even if we can only hear its whispers when we make room for silence enough to hear its loving voice.

We are currently supporting new change-makers on one of the virtual experiences, which is offered for both individuals and agency/corporate team building, called Harness Your Hero.

Within Harness Your Hero, you customize an “Alter-Ego” by acknowledging that your own name and even parts of your journey were wholly out of your control - i.e. you were named by your parents and for the formative years of your life, experienced the world not only by way of their actions but oftentimes, through their perspectives, sometimes planting seeds in our subconscious without our full awareness of them.

But, your “Alter-Ego” is something just for you - by you, chosen to reflect the things that are meaningful to you, in this moment - while supporting you in reconnecting to the nature world in meaningful ways. It’s also just plain FUN to think about and be in playful community, CREATING.

My Alter-Ego is The Perennial Mystic 🌊🌀🫀🐍, which I’d be happy to walk you through sometime, especially in that sacred space of imaginative, creative community.

As the current Viridescent.biz website is in the pre-stages of co-creative re-creation, The concept of the VIRIVERSE itself, is what the World Wide Web was supposed to be: a vibrant, regenerative network of human mycelium; a collaboratory community committed to love and connection to nature.

If your interest is piqued, it should be - it might be your inner child screaming to have some creative, playful fun. It might be your inner WILD clawing and clamoring to learn more. Lucky for you, MORE is what we’ve definitely got.

The final day of our time together, we walked down to the river, on-property of our amazing host, Casey, aka The Solvent - and we each took an element of nature to create a communal mandala, a ritual offering to the land, river and mother earth, thanking her for our sacred space and time together.

The intention of our group, in the end, was to help bring awareness to the interdependence and connection which is inherent to our baseline way of being.

What does that mean? To me, it’s that our universal truth is that of Oneness - a divine interdependence, interconnection - to each other, to earth, to our hearts.

A brilliant woman, “The Unity Prophet,” wrote a book, WE Declare Our Interdependence, which very clearly articulates the origins of many of our complex challenges, weaving a web which showcases how the appearance of chaos is actually a very exacting falling of dominos in a number of different aspects of life which have come together in the culmination of what she aptly names our “wicked problems.”

How do we align our lives with a more grand design?

Something more hopeful, beautiful and reciprocal than we have ever known?

By creating a culture built on connection - rooted in conscious community, interpersonal empathy and compassion (to self and others) and reconnection to nature.

And, this is exactly what we practice within these journeys of HOPE Activation.

While we are far away in geography, the connections, bonds and HOPE we are activating together transcends distances, zoom rooms and doomscrolling; building bridges of “radical compassion,” hope activation and wellsprings of inner self-love.
